Annual Fund Campaign Launched

During the evening’s presentations, a fundraising campaign was announced and launched in support of ASSIST, ASSIST Germany and the ASSIST Förderverein.

Since 1987/88, ASSIST has benefited from the annual contributions of our alumni, parents, friends, and philanthropists.  Gifts make it possible for us to provide deserving opportunities for our scholars and leaders and represent 40% of our operating budget. As a nonprofit organization, ASSIST depends on the generosity of those who believe in and have benefited from our mission of placing outstanding international scholars at America’s finest independent secondary schools.

Your annual gift will support

  • ASSIST Förderverein's ability to provide financial assistance to ASSIST scholar families who might not otherwise afford the experience.
  • ASSIST Germany as it conducts a countrywide recruitment program to identify Germany’s most outstanding ASSIST candidates.
  • ASSIST’s Director of Alumni Relations as we continue to build a strong and vibrant alumni network in Germany.

Matching Grant Announced

ASSIST Förderverein Treasurer Sean Harris, St. Andrew’s-Sewanee School ’95, announced that during the 40th anniversary campaign, a generous American donor with German ties and a belief in our work has created a challenge grant for this first year. Each €1 raised in Germany this spring will be matched 1 euro to 1 dollar – up to the first €25,000 received.
