Class of 2004

Here, everything is fine. I am still enrolled in two schools, the Conservatory (last year now) and the University-International Relations. I think this year is the most difficult of all, but that's how life is!

Class of 2005

I am doing really well. The spring term and the exam period went quite well for me. I was acknowledged "The Greatest Citizen of the School". I was invited to join the Lithuanian National Debate team in the World Debate and Public Speaking Tournament in Connecticut last spring.

Right after I came back, I participated in the National Biology Tournament, where I, surprisingly, won the first prize, what is the highest academic achievement for a student in Lithuania. Right after that there was an exam period, which was also quite successful for me, because my exam results were among the top 15 students in the country. As we are being rated by the exam results in Lithuanian universities, I was rated the first medical student in my country. Mainly because of that, the faculty of the Medical University wants me to become the monitor of all the freshmen in Kaunas Medical University...

My biggest heartache is that I did not write enough letters to my friends, families and teachers from my year abroad in WFS throughout the summer, so I am trying to catch up on e-mails these days. I must confess that I miss all of them very much, as well as my American experience itself.

Rytis Masiliunas, Lithuania, Woodberry Forest School, VA

I have just completed my high school studies. I was very surprised to learn that I graduated with high honors. It was a wonderful finish to my high school studies.

I took part in a competition at the British Embassy this year and I happened to win a day with the British Ambassador.

I was accepted to a few colleges in the United States, including Manhattanville, Georgetown, Wittenberg and Whitman. As I heard, it was a very competitive year, so I am very glad that I was lucky to get very good financial aid offers. I decided to join Whitman College in Washington. I am very excited for it.

I am happy that I will be able to continue my studies in the US because I am sure I will find it useful when I come back home and work for our government. I was even thinking that after finishing college, I could enter law school in Prague. But, these are only my plans.

Right now, I am looking forward to being back in America next year. I hope that all is well and thank you for all your care and interest. I would have never made it throughout this year if not for your constant support.
