Welcome to ASSIST in Slovakia

ASSIST became active in Slovakia to help young Slovak students currently in the 10th grade who would like to spend one year as exchange students in the United States as 11th graders.

Our work in Slovakia began in the 1994/95 academic year. Our first Slovak scholars distinguished themselves in their American independent schools, and ultimately 86 Slovak students have studied in the States under our auspices.  It is through the generosity of our partner, the Open Society Fund Bratislava, that this scholarship competition is made possible.

Application Process for 2012/13 Scholarships

All initial applications for ASSIST scholarships for Slovak students are received through our partner, Open Society Fund Bratislava.  Scholarships are also offered to boarding schools in the UK through our colleagues of the Headmasters and Headmistresses Conference (HMC).
