Welcome to ASSIST Australia

ASSIST Australia was established to help young Australian students currently in the 10th grade who would like to spend one year as exchange  students in the United States as 11th graders.  Candidates finishing 10th grade in December 2011 are eligible for the 2012/13 academic year in the U.S.  We work primarily in partnership with the independent schools in Australia.

Our work in Australia began in the 1988-1989 academic year. Our first Australian scholars distinguished themselves in their American independent schools, and ultimately 79 Australian students have studied in the States under our auspices.
