
In January 2000, the ASSIST Board of Directors appointed Robert A. Stanley, Jr., as the third president of ASSIST. Mr. Stanley served in American independent schools for 13 years and has previous experience in the corporate world. He manages the staffs of the affiliate offices around the world and is responsible for the daily operations of the organization. Mr. Stanley is a graduate of Suffield Academy, Brown University and Yale University Divinity School.
Martin Milne is the Vice President for School and Family Relations of ASSIST. Mr. Milne held positions in independent schools both domestically and internationally as a history teacher and Dean of Students prior to joining ASSIST in July 2009. He is a graduate of Eaglebrook School, Deerfield Academy, St. Lawrence University, and the State University of New York at Albany.
Meg Mouton is ASSIST's Vice President for Advancement. Meg is nationally/internationally known for her work as a consultant to independent schools and associations (over 20 years worth). Previous to joining ASSIST, she was Executive Director of the National Coalition of Girls' Schools. She served on the Board of NAIS and received their Global Citizen of the Year Award in 2009. Meg is a graduate of Wheaton College (MA) and has taken executive and graduate education courses.
Cathleen H. Presnick is the office manager. After eight years in the corporate world, she held part-time jobs while raising her two children. She joined the ASSIST team in 2004. Ms. Presnick is a graduate of the University of Connecticut and earned an MBA from the University of New Haven.
Kristen F. Sullivan is the program coordinator. Ms. Sullivan works in the Connecticut office and is a graduate of Suffield Academy, Franklin and Marshall College, and the State University of New York at Binghamton.
Debra M. Viets is the business manager. She joined ASSIST in 2003 when her children began attending school. Ms. Viets works in the Connecticut office. She is a graduate of Central Connecticut State University.
Kathryn Broyles Willoughby is the school liaison coordinator and joined ASSIST in August 2006. She worked in the corporate world for 16 years and then held part-time jobs while raising her three children. Kathy works in the Connecticut office and is a graduate of St. John's University.
M. Julia Dodds joined the Connecticut office of ASSIST in December 2006 and is the Database and Web Coordinator. Ms. Dodds worked in the corporate world for thirteen years, primarily as a benefits consultant, and held various volunteer positions while her three sons were young. She is a graduate of Seton Hill University and earned an MS in Information Systems from George Mason Univerisity.
The leadership of ASSIST is also broadly shared among its Directors, who travel to visit current students and member schools, to interview prospective candidates overseas, and to volunteer as staff at orientation.

Ken Lindfors, a colleague of Paul Sanderson, ASSIST's founder, at Suffield Academy, has known ASSIST students since 1969. While at Suffield over a twenty six year period, he was a teacher, administrator, and the school's headmaster, and then from 1987-2000 he served as President of ASSIST. He is a graduate of an ASSIST school (Northfield Mount Hermon), Oberlin College, and Harvard University.
Betsy Lindfors did admissions work at Suffield Academy from 1973-1987, and then from 1987-2000, she served as Vice President of ASSIST. Prior to working at Suffield Academy, she taught at Northfield Mount Hermon School and was active in volunteer work in the Suffield community. Betsy is a graduate of Skidmore College, and with Ken is the parent of two daughters.
