Every Gift Counts!

ASSIST has a commendable track record over 47 years of delivering on our promises and living our mission of bringing outstanding international scholars to excellent independent schools in the United States.  We have been resourceful in meeting challenges, and we operate efficiently, making each budget dollar count, aided by a vast cadre of volunteers.  As well, ASSIST’s success would not be possible without the support of generous donors from around the world who believe in the heart and soul of what we are about – transforming lives and school communities, training tomorrow’s leaders, and contributing to a more peaceful world.

ASSIST Recognition Programs

To recognize donors for their generous support, and to express our gratitude and appreciation, we have created a program that honors all contributors:

Lindfors SocietyIndividuals who make a planned gift to ASSIST or include ASSIST in their estate planning.  These individuals provide the underpinning for ASSIST’s long-term financial sustainability.  Such a gift, some of which can be named, makes the contributor ‘forever’ generous to the organization.  Gifts made to the Society honor Kenneth and Betsy Lindfors, whose leadership of ASSIST over 13 years, and volunteer commitment ever since, brought our work into the modern era.

Lenfest SponsorsIndividuals, corporations, foundations and friends who contribute a gift of €/$8,000 to sponsor an ASSIST Scholar from a country with a developing economy.  A gift to the Lenfest Sponsors allows a student of great promise, whose parents cannot underwrite the experience, to undertake the ASSIST year. The sponsorship category honors the generosity of H.F. “Gerry” Lenfest, who sponsored 176 ASSIST Scholars.

Sanderson Founders SocietyIndividuals, corporations, foundations and friends who contribute a gift of €/$5,000 and above.  A gift to the Sanderson Founder’s Circle reflects a deep personal and financial commitment to ASSIST.  Gifts made to the Circle honor the memory of Paul G. Sanderson, Jr., ASSIST’s founder, whose vision and leadership provided the foundation for our successful mission.

Legacy LeagueIndividuals, corporations, foundations and friends who contribute a gift ranging from €/$2,500 to €/$4,999.  Gifts at this level recognize the 4,300+ ASSIST alumni who represent the organization’s ongoing legacy of leadership, service, and global citizenship.

International CircleIndividuals, corporations, foundations and friends who contribute a gift ranging from €/$1,000 to €/$2,499.   Giving in this category heightens ASSIST’s ability to raise its voice, recruit and select deserving Scholars, and strengthen its network of alumni worldwide.

Scholar Fund - Individuals, corporations, foundations and friends who contribute a gift ranging from €/$500 to €/$999. Giving in this category is a tribute to the donor's belief in our mission and in our Scholars.

Young Alumni Leaders Alumni from the five previous classes who contribute a gift of €/$100 or more. Giving in this category strengthens the relationship between ASSIST and its most recent Scholars and develops the habit of lifetime support of the program.

Friends of ASSIST - We welcome all gifts made to support ASSIST! Friends of ASSIST make gifts up to €/$499, which are a key foundation to a successful Annual Fund campaign.
